Overview
Tenki turns an iPhone or iPad into a trackpad, keypad, and keyboard for a computer running macOS with the Tenki companion app installed. Tenki is designed to work locally between your devices and does not require an account.
Information we collect
Tenki does not collect personal information. The app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, cloud storage, or third-party data collection services.
Local network communication
Tenki uses local networking technologies provided by Apple to discover nearby compatible computers running TenkiMac and to send the input commands you request. Device names and commands are exchanged only as needed to establish and use that local connection. Tenki does not send this information to a developer-operated server.
Permissions
Local Network on iPhone
Tenki requests Local Network access so it can discover and connect to the Tenki companion app. Without this permission, the app cannot find a compatible computer.
Accessibility on your computer
TenkiMac requires macOS Accessibility permission to deliver the keyboard, text, pointer, click, and scroll actions you request to the active application. The companion app does not use Accessibility permission to inspect private content, read documents, monitor browsing, or collect data.
Data retention
Because Tenki does not collect data on developer-operated servers, there is no server-side personal data to retain or delete. Preferences such as theme and control settings are stored locally on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.
Children’s privacy
Tenki does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Changes to this policy
If Tenki’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect. The effective date above identifies the current version.
Contact
Tenki is developed and supported by Collin Poseley. Questions about privacy or the app can be submitted through the official support form.
